In this thread the Stewarding Decisions will be announced, all rulings are final.

Foreword

As Rule E1 states;

'Sportsmanship is a cornerstone of racing at RRLeagues and this is expected to be upheld by all participating drivers. If you pass someone unfairly or collide with them, it is expected that you return the position at the earliest but safest opportunity.'

If you show sportsmanship towards other drivers then any penalties you may receive will be lessened because of this.

RRLeagues Licence

Any penalty points you receive for incidents from the stewards will be added to your RRLeagues Licence. All about RRLeagues Licence here. The maximum permitted penalty points for this series is 12.

Possible Penalties

The following is a guideline for what penalties to expect for certain infringements of the rules however, the stewards interpretation of the rules is final.

1. Verbal Warning | 0 Penalty Points
  • Exceeding Pit Speed Limit during Qualification session (1st instance)
  • Posting in-game text chat during Qualification / Race sessions (1st instance)
2. 1 x Official Warning | 1 Penalty Point
  • Exceeding Pit Speed Limit during Qualification session (subsequent instances)
  • Posting in-game text chat during Qualification / Race sessions (subsequent instances)
  • Dangerous driving on Lap 1 causing consequence to another driver
  • Causing a collision with no/little consequence
  • Hitting a stationary/very slow moving car off the grid.
  • Unsafe rejoin with no/little consequence
  • Attempting to correct on track with cars approaching with no/little consequence
3. +5 secs added to total race time
  • This penalty will usually accompany the 1 x Official Warning penalty.
  • Blocking/squeezing/pushing a driver off-track/unfair defending that causes the innocent driver to lose significant time
4. +20 secs added to total race time | 3 Penalty Points
  • Causing a collision and not returning/conceding position(s) within 1 lap
  • Failure to return a position when clearly at fault
  • Unsafe rejoin with consequence
  • Attempting to correct when on track and cars approaching with consequence
5. No Qualification Penalty (driver must remain in his pit box during the qualifying session)
  • Collecting 3 warnings within a series
  • Receiving a +20 secs time penalty but the driver recorded a DNF
6. +40 secs added to total race time | 4 Penalty Points
  • Causing a collision with multiple consequences and not returning/conceding position(s) within 1 lap
  • Unsafe rejoin with multiple consequences
  • Attempting to correct when on track and cars approaching with multiple consequences
7. Drive Through Penalty (driver must drive through the pit lane within the opening 3 laps of race)
  • Receiving a +20 secs time penalty but the driver recorded a DNF in both races of an event (only applies when a round comprises of 2 race sessions)
  • Receiving a +40 secs time penalty but the driver recorded a DNF
8. Disqualification
  • Failure to comply with steward imposed No Qualification/Drive Through penalty requirements. 2 instances will result in a ban from the series
9. Race Suspension
  • Multiple Lap 1 incidents
  • Disrespect of RRLeagues rules
  • Exceeding maximum amount of allowable points on licence

Please respect the stewards' decisions, these guys take their own spare time to review incidents to make this league a fair place to race! Stewards decisions should never be discussed in a public thread. PM a steward if you need to discuss a decision.

Dear Drivers!

As you know, for S47 we decided to limit the tyre sets. This might lead even more hard traffic situation during the qualifying as usual, as 30+ cars hit the track for making their possibly 1 or 2 fast laps only.
The stewards won't review the full qualy, but from now on (only for ACC) we accept submissions from Q too.

First of all, we do ask everyone who's on an outlap or has an invalid lap (and a faster driver is close behind you), to check his mirrors and give way to the drivers, who are on a fast lap.
If an incident happens between a driver on an outlap and on a hotlap, the responsibility will be on the driver on his outlap.
At the same time, we do ask every drivers during a fast lap, try to prepare for their fast laps leaving some space ahead of them. Do not attack (or only if the pass is doable on a safe manner) or hit the other driver ahead of them. If an incident happens between two drivers both on a hotlap, the responsibility will be on the driver behind.
The penalty for the guilty party will be Warning (1)
We will punish only the most obvious incidents of impatient/unaware driving as, unfortunately, impeding will do happen. Please consider this when submitting an incident.
Also we won't punish incidents which happen because one of the drivers makes a mistake on his own and the other gets involved, except for unsafe rejoins.

We know this will be a bit unusual and maybe hard, but please try to do our best to limit the incidents here. It will be challenging for sure.

T2 - HORVATH / LEECH
Jody can't stop in time before T2 and goes straight. Robert saw this and tried to avoid contact, by going also wide. Both drivers left the track. Both try to rejoin, but Robert doesn't leave enough gap on the inside by doing so. he hits Ryan and spins, Ryan also hits Jody and this causes collisions for several drivers.
Ryan (and everyone else involved) can continue ahead of Robert.
DECISION: +20s HORVATH (3) Unsafe rejoin with consequence
condisering the conditions, stewards agree that this incident was not a reckless manouvre so we attenuate the consequence for Robert as guest driver (due to Rule E 11.)

L7, T1 - MORGAN / TARBUCK
L6/T1 - Callums hits Matthew at the exit of T1, causing him a half-spin and losing several positions. both cars stopping at the exit of T1. Robert is involved in the incident too. Callum waits and returns the position.
DECISION: Warning MORGAN (1) Causing a collision

L7, T14 - KRISTOW / TARBUCK
Daniel spins out of the last corner, ending up opposite of the incoming traffic. He tries to turn back but hits the incoming Matthew who loses a lot of time and suffers damage. Daniel continues behind Matthew.
DECISION: Warning KRISTOW (1) Unsafe rejoin with no/little consequence
note: however he conditions were bad and the place of the spin was very unfortunate and hard to see the incoming traffic, we believe that Daniel could have done better, stopping immediately when he saw Matthew exiting from the corner. that would give the chance for Matthew to avoid the incident.

Lap 1:

1.1
Main straight - MORGAN / PEK / SMEDEGARD
Callum had a slower reaction than both Magnus and Petr. Petr went for the gap between the other 2, which was big enough for him. towards T1, Callum moved slightly to the right while Magnus just kept his line (following the kink towards T1), having quite a bit of space on his right side. the 2 driver on the outside squeezed Petr in the middle, who kept his line, but the collision sent Magnus into spin into Callum who left the track. Magnus's spinning car caused also big problems to the rest of the field, causing damage to several drivers. Petr kept going on while Callum lost a couple of positions while rejoining.
DECISION: Racing Incident
note: however, the consequences were big, neither of the drivers were major at fault here, but all of them made - smaller or bigger - bad choices: Petr was a bit too aggressive with moving into the middle in such a narrow track (also he could have backed off probably), Magnus with not leaving space by moving to the right, also Callum who moved to the right, making the gap even more narrow. However, Petr had the right to move in the middle as the gap was bigger in the beginning, the other drivers should have been aware of that.
we'd like to ask kindly everyone again, to be careful and safe during the first corners, especially on such a narrow track with no run-off areas, also try to do everything to avoid incidents like this, even with a position loss. if you feel someone was unfair or over-aggressive, you still can submit it after the race.

T1 - LEECH - BETTENS
Davy goes wobbly and brakes slightly late into T1 (after having a hit from Magnus' car), and for avoiding Daniel in front of him, he moves to the inside, over the sausages. this makes his car unbalanced and slowed down him quite a bit as he returns to the racing line. Ryan behind him didn't expect this and hits Davy, who spins. Ryan continues ahead of Davy
DECISION: Racing Incident
note: Ryan - understandably - was unprepared for Davy's slow car, so we didn't feel a penalty was necessary as the incident - in our opinion - was caused by Davy's unpredictable slow car. however, we ask the drivers to show more caution if you feel someone's lines are unpredictable.

T3 - CAMOLETTO / METCALF
Greg was exiting out of T2 much faster, and passed Jak from the outside at the exit. his rear touched Jak's nose, which sent Greg into spin. he bounces off the wall and rolls back onto the track, causing again big problems to the incoming field. Andre, Ranjiv and some others suffers heavy damage.
DECISION: Racing Incident
note: again, both drivers could have done better but neither of them at fault a lot more. Jak could have had a bit tighter exit, however, Greg had such a lot of overspeed which might have surprised Jak. Greg also should have left more space, using the kerbs which he completely avoided. again, please be more careful and also use the Radar app as help in correcting your line when another car is close!

L4, T8 - KOCOUREK / BETTENS
Davy and David goes into side by side into T8. David lost the rear at the corner entry and slightly spun into Davy's car on the inside. Davy's car goes wobbly and before he could catch it, the driver behind sends him into a spin unintentionally. David continues, Davy lost lots of positions.
DECISION: Warning+5s KOCOUREK (1) pushing the driver off-track that causes the innocent driver to lose significant time
note: the incident was caused by a driver mistake and not an over-aggressive defending move, still would have been fair if David waits for his victim

L5, T1 - KRISTOW / PELLICANO
Daniel attacks the Ferrari in the main straight and tries to out-brake him from the outside. Anthony seems to go slightly late on the brakes and misses the apex of T1. he slides a little into Daniel's car and spins. Daniel continues unharmed.
DECISION: Racing Incident

L11, T14 - PEK / DEPRATIERE
into Variante Alte, Petr totally misses his braking point. he moves to the inside but Bram ahead of him is already taking the corner. Petr jumps into Bram causing him to spin. Bram can continue ahead of Petr

L25, T11 - LEECH / PEK
Ryan was attacked by Petr into T11. Petr is on the inside but he seems miss the apex slightly, while Ryan gives just not enough room on the inside. the 2 cars meet right before the corner apex, the collision sents Petr into a half-spin, he continues right behind Ryan.
DECISION: Racing Incident
note: here again both drivers could have done better. Ryan should have given more space, while Petr should have slowed down earlier, as he was totally out of the racing line and his pace was too high to take the corner even on his own. if Ryan gives enough space probably he would have taken Ryan out.
again, please be more careful and don't force moves which invites incident at a tricky place like this.

L28, T3 - METTERS / MORGAN
Paul is about to lap by Callum and Bram who were fighting. Paul decides to move over at the corner exit, which compromises Callum's exit who gets overtaken by Bram
DECISION: No Further Action
note: however Paul was aware and tried to move over from the fighting duo as soon as possible, the place of moving over was not so lucky. in general, if the faster driver is right behind you, it's better to have the fastest exit you can and move over later towards the braking zone. if you have a worse exit because of you're tightening your line, the faster driver might be unprepared for that.

L14, T14 - BARROWCLOUGH / WYATT (D)
Dave spins and loses control at T14 and then proceeds to continue right into the path of Jody, causing a collision and resulting in Jody spinning.
Dave waits for Jody to recover.
DECISION: +20s added to total race time, WYATT (3) attempting to correct when on track and cars approaching with consequence

L50, T17 - METCALF / FILLINGHAM
Greg hits the rear of Simon under braking for T17, causing Simon to spin. Greg waits for Simon to recover.
DECISION: WARNING METCALF (1) causing a collision but waiting for opponent

1.11
L4, T1 - KRISTOW / DEPRATIERE
There is contact between the 2 drivers into T2 resulting in consequence to both drivers. Bram moves to the inside on the approach to T2 whilst Daniel opts to take a central defensive line. Dan initially leaves enough room for Bram to drive into on his inside but at 100M out (at the kink) Dan makes a further move to his left and makes contact with Bram. As Dan was already on a central line he could ill afford much movement from his position if he was to leave Bram room. We acknowledge braking into this chicane isn't easy when challenging for position but Dan had half a track to his right to 'play with' instead of squeezing Bram on his left.
DECISION: WARNING KRISTOW (1) moving in the braking zone

the Imola report has been adjusted as we missed to review 3 of the reported incidents due to a wrong link.
1.9-1.11 incidents are now in the report, which is NOW final (so are the results on RaceApp).
the incorrect links in race threads are now also fixed.

T1 - METCALF / FILLINGHAM
Simon goes safe into T1, braking maybe a little bit earlier than should, but Greg takes his usual braking zone by the look of it, much later than Si does. he bumps Si from behind, both drivers can continue without big harm or losing position
DECISION: warning METCALF (1) causing a collision with little/no consequence. the consequences were minor but it could have easily ended much worse - espcially with ACC collision physics. please show more caution at the start

T4 - CAMOLETTO / PEK / PEREIRA
out of T3 Dino attacks Jak on the inside who stays a bit more wide. as Petr on the outside tries to turn in to T4 they touch and Petr goes slightly wide. all of them can continue without problem

T4 - HUGHES / BETTENS
Martin and Davy approach T4 side by side, Martin on the inside. he misses the apex very slightly, and as Davy tries to turn in they touch and Davy was forced to turn a bit more wide. no harm done, both can continue

Martin made a divebomb on Nemanja which sends Nem wide. Martin did a half-spin. Nemanja rejoined ahead of Martin but he lost a couple of positions.

L2, T3 - MANOJLOVIC / PELLICANO / MORGAN
after rejoining from 1.1, Nemanja loses momentum. Callum attacks him from the outside, but Nemanja is unaware of him and hits him. both half-spin and both are hit from the drivers behind (Radek and Antony) who could do nothing to avoid the spinning cars. Nemanja rejoins while Callum must wait for the entire field.
DECISION: +20s MANOJLOVIC (3) for causing a collision and not returning position within 1 lap

L3, T6 - BINNERSLEY / PELLICANO
Ric attacks and (almost) passes Antony at T6 but he doesn't leave enough space on the exit, forcing Antony onto the sausages while Antony still has a little overlap. Antony hits Ric as he bounces on the sausages. Nemanja incoming hits Antony, making him a full-spin and lose lots of time. Ric doesn't wait for Antony
DECISION: +20s BINNERSLEY (3) for unfair overtake and not returning position within 1 lap

Nemanja hits André at the exit of T6, making him spin and hit the wall. he doesn't wait for André who pits at the end of the lap anyway.

Andre rejoins after 1.4, Callum must slow down to avoid him. both stay unharmed

Ric and Antony exit side by side out of T10 as Ric sidebumps Antony with no apparent reason.

Ric and Antony arrive side by side through T11 into T12, where Antony slightly misses the apex while Ric is turning with leaving enough space but no more. Antony's car unsettles but he can catch it, however he loses some time as he makes a trip to the gravel trap.
