In this thread the Stewarding Decisions will be announced, all rulings are final.

Foreword

As Rule E1 states;

'Sportsmanship is a cornerstone of racing at RRLeagues and this is expected to be upheld by all participating drivers. If you pass someone unfairly or collide with them, it is expected that you return the position at the earliest but safest opportunity.'

If you show sportsmanship towards other drivers then any penalties you may receive will be lessened because of this.

RRLeagues Licence

Any penalty points you receive for incidents from the stewards will be added to your RRLeagues Licence. All about RRLeagues Licence here. The maximum permitted penalty points for this series is 12.

Possible Penalties

The following is a guideline for what penalties to expect for certain infringements of the rules however, the stewards interpretation of the rules is final.

1. Verbal Warning | 0 Penalty Points
  • Exceeding Pit Speed Limit during Qualification session (1st instance)
  • Posting in-game text chat during Qualification / Race sessions (1st instance)
2. 1 x Official Warning | 1 Penalty Point
  • Exceeding Pit Speed Limit during Qualification session (subsequent instances)
  • Posting in-game text chat during Qualification / Race sessions (subsequent instances)
  • Dangerous driving on Lap 1 causing consequence to another driver
  • Hitting a driver but returning the position in a safe manner
  • Hitting a stationary/very slow moving car off the grid.
3. 2 x Official Warning | 2 Penalty Points
  • Unsafe rejoin with no/little consequence
  • Attempting to correct when on track and cars approaching with no/little consequence
4. +5 secs added to total race time
  • This penalty will usually accompany one of the Official Warning penalties.
  • Blocking/squeezing/pushing a driver off-track/unfair defending that causes the innocent driver to lose significant time
5. +20 secs added to total race time | 3 Penalty Points
  • Hitting a driver and not returning position
  • Failure to return a position when clearly at fault
  • Unsafe rejoin with consequence
  • Attempting to correct when on track and cars approaching with consequence
6. No Qualification Penalty
  • Collecting 3 warnings within a series
  • Receiving a +20 secs time penalty but the driver recorded a DNF
7. +40 secs added to total race time | 4 Penalty Points
  • Reckless driving causing multiple incidents
  • Unsafe rejoin with multiple consequences
  • Attempting to correct when on track and cars approaching with multiple consequences
8. Drive Through Penalty (driver must drive through the pit lane within the opening 3 laps of race)
  • Receiving a +20 secs time penalty but the driver recorded a DNF in both races of an event (only applies when a round comprises of 2 race sessions)
  • Receiving a +40 secs time penalty but the driver recorded a DNF
9. Disqualification
  • Failure to comply with steward imposed No Qualification Penalty requirements. 2 instances will result in series ban
10. Race Suspension
  • Multiple Lap 1 incidents
  • Disrespect of RRLeagues rules
  • Exceeding maximum amount of allowable points on licence
Please respect the stewards' decisions, these guys take their own spare time to review incidents to make this league a fair place to race! Stewards decisions should never be discussed in a public thread. PM a steward if you need to discuss a decision.

Jazz misses the start of the formation lap and takes his position in the field of Quali , this is not allowed . When you are to late to take your place on the grid you need to join the field in the back of the pack

Tiago is not aware of the 5 sec rule on the rolling start procedure and hits Jao
When all red lights go out, cars must remain stationary on the grid for a period of 5 seconds. This is to see that all drivers are aware and conforming with the rules. This is a good opportunity to check the position bar at the top of the screen to see who you must stay behind and also to note which side of the track you are on so to know which side to form on in the formation zone.

L4,T8 Giacomo hits Nigel under braking for T8 causing Nigel in the barriers and Giacome gains the position , Nigel can regain the position as Giacomo spins on T14 but there was no intention to give the position back and as the spin was on Giacomo this is an unfair overtake . After the contact on T5 Nigel rejoins on the racing line and he collides with Petr resulting in position loss . Wait for clear space to rejoin Nigel

1.2 MORGAN / BINNERSLEY
L13,T5 Ric nudges Callum in the braking zone for T5 causing Callum of track . Callum rejoins safe and before Ric
DECISION - WARNING BINNERSLEY (1)

1.3 WYATT / MATOS
L3,T5 Tiago is way to late in his braking for T5 and uses Mikes car to make the corner and gains the position , Tiago does not wait for Mike to recover or gives the position back .. . . As a result of the contact Mike is off track and he rejoins on the racing line with upcoming traffic but luckally without further contacts . Mistakes are common in simracing Tiago but giving the position back was the only right thing to do here
DECISION - +20 secs added to total race time MATOS (3)
DECISION - WARNING WYATT (1) (unsafe rejoin with little/no consequence)

1.4 MATOS / PEK
L4,T10 Petr takes to much of the inside kurb on T10 and slides into the path of Tiago who attempted an overtake on Petrs outside , Tiago slide to the wall and has severe damage . This is stated as causing a collision with consequence

1.5 WOOD / CHIAPPE
L5,T10 Giacomo has a good run on Nigel on approach to T12 , he attacks Nigel on the outside but outbrakes himself and goes off track , a very optimistic move but no consequence

1.6 BARROWCLOUGH / PEK
L43,T5 Jody attacks Petr on T5 and can get significant overlap on Petr on turn-in , Petr doesn't leave enough room for Jody and the contact forces Jody off track and into a spin

1.7 BERGSMA / PEREIRA
L44,T6 Andre has a better exit on T5 and attacks Dino on T6 , there is contact and Andre spins . The turn-in point for that corner can be a bit blurry but stewards agree that Andre had enough overlap to given room by Dino

1.8 WYATT / MATOS
L2,T12 Tiago does a very late lunge on Mike for T12 but cant make the apex , luckally Mike was aware of his surroundings so contact was avoided . Not the best move from Tiago but not enough to penelise him for it

1.9 FILLINGHAM / CARPENTEIRO
L17,T8 Carmine is to late on the brakes for T8 and hits Simon, fortunate for both they continue without consequence but this could easally ended worse . More caution is advised Carmine as damage is easally picked up this way

1.10 FILLINGHAM / CARPENTEIRO / JONES
L20,T14 Carmine tries to outbrakes Simon and can get significant overlap on turn-in T14 , Simon turns to the apex and there is contact resulting in both cars spinning of track . .Simon waits for a gap to rejoin the track but he cant avoid contact with the upcoming Grant and they collide . Carmines rejoin is also unsafe and Vlastimil can only just avoid collision

David takes a very confusion position on track when cars enter the formation zone , he doesnt go in double file and again the gap is to big to the cars in front , we can only assume that David does this to be safe of incidents but the cars behind are affected by it and this is not how we do rolling starts . We advise some more knowledge of the procedure

1.1 PEREIRA / LUKAS / HORVATH / CHIAPPE / MATOS
Dino is to late on the brakes and queezes himself alongside Vlastimil for T1 , he uses a lot of the inside kurb and collides with Vlastimil , as a cause of that contact Vlastimil spins into the path of Robert and both drivers spin facing in the opposite direction and Robert in the middle of the track, as Dino didnt wait for Vlastimil to recover stewards agree that we can state this as causing collision with multiple consequence and not returning position. What happens afterwards is a series of spins and contacts among drivers wich was unavoidable after that very chaotic situation, it caused a chain reaction of incidents and therefore several drivers that were involved are excused . However Giacomo also spins in the incident and fails to hold the brakes after a spin on the racing line . Tiago cant avoid contact with Giacomo resulting in severe damage .# rule ( In the event of a spin/slide drivers are expected to hold their brakes until all immediate traffic has moved past their car. This ensures a predictable trajectory of the spinning car. On top of that, a stationary car is easier for oncoming drivers to avoid.)

L24,T12 Mike attacks jazz without significant overlap on T12 but misjudges the ideal line and braking point for that corner and has a tankslapper with jazz , Jazz spins off track and Mike takes the position . This was an unfair overtake and Mike doesnt give the position back within a lap or waits for Jazz to recover

1.4 LUKAS / DEJONG
L28,T12 Lenny hits Vlastimil on T12 causing him to the run-off area , Vlastimil recovers before Lenny

L16,T1 Jamie loses the rear on the exit for T1 when he is being lapped by Nigel , they collide causing both drivers off track . Nigel recovers before Jamie
DECISION - WARNING WARBURTON (1)

1.6 CAMOLETTO / PEREIRA
L4,T3 Jak attacks Dino and because of his late braking he can get overlap on Dino , Dino turns to the apex and there is contact, both can continue without harm . Stewards agree that this attempt to overtake was to optimistic to succeed
DECISION - NO FURTHER ACTION

1.7 CAMOLETTO / KOCOUREK
L12,T10 David is about to get lapped by Jak on approach to T11 , David then brakes the corner and Jak can only just avoid contact but he can proceed without consequence . Stewards agree that David was a bit early on the brakes but Jak also took to much risk when lapping David by staying to long in his draft before corner entry

1.8 CAMOLETTO / ARMIENTO
L27,T12 Antonio recovers from a spin on T12 and causes some hinder to Jak and the following cars . As Antonio spinned and his car was stationary on the racing line , the better option would be to go outside track limits but as it was very hard to Judge in what speed the upcoming cars were approaching we will take no action

L5,T11 On approach to T12 Stefano can get his car alongside Joao , Joao then swerves to the outside of the track and forces Stefano off track and losing several positions , this is classed as dirty defending

1.11 MANOJLOVIC / WYATT
L16,T15 Nemanja and Mike are going side by side on approach to T16 and on entry of the corner there is contact , both can continue without consequence

1.12 MANOJLOVIC / ATTOLINI
L23,T15 Ricardo recovers after a spin on T15 and rejoins the track on the racing line and just in front of Nemanja , not the best rejoin of Ricardo but when he sees the upcoming Nemanja he goes outside track limits asap and makes room for Nemanja

1.13 MANOJLOVIC / WARBURTON
L32 / T12 Jamie ( lapped car) is very slow through T12 and Nemanja (clearly much faster) needs to take evading action to avoid collision . stewards agree that it was a scary moment there for Nemanja but not enough to take action against Jamie

Mike is to late on the brakes for T4 and hits Andre causing him to the run-off area , fortunate not much consequence for Andre but this could ended much worse . More caution is advised Mike on Lap 1

Alessio loses control of the car on T10 and ends up in the gravel , at first Alessio waits for a safe gap to rejoin but he misses the upcoming Mike who was a bit further of the pack . Alessio then reenters the track right on the racing line and into the path of Mike , Mike can avoid Alessio but has no other choice than going in the grass and scraping the barriers . This is stated as an unsafe rejoin with consequence

1.4 FORSBERG / ROSSI
Valentino drifts over to his right towards the pit exit line approaching T1. Jazz is on the inside slightly behind drifting towards the same point from the other side. As the cars reach the braking zone Valentino continues to drift to the right bringing the cars very close to each other. This could have caused a big incident had they touched. The stewards see this is as a timely reminder to watch your line into turn 1 - as the cars bunch up and braking points vary so much it's important to watch your lines.

L6,T8 Petr locks up the tires under braking for T8 and goes in the gravel , Petr rejoins the track on T10 and Paul collides with Petr resulting him into a spin and losing many positions .Stewards agree that this is classed as an unsafe rejoin with consequence

1.6 FORSBERG /CHIAPPE
L6,T11 Giacomo does a very late move on Jazz and forces him alongside , because of the contact Jazz swerves to the outside of the track and Giacomo takes the position , as Giacomo had no significant overlap on turn-in and he didn't gave the position back within a lap this is an unfair overtake

1.7 FORSBERG / MATOS
L8,T11 Tiago is to late on the brakes for T11 and rubs the rear of Jazz , Jazz' car is very unbalanced but luckally he can avoid a spin

L11,T4 Jazz is carefull and early on the brakes for T4 , Tiago noticed this and he can get enough overlap on Jazz on turn-in and does a very late attack on the corner , Jazz sees Tiago coming and takes evading action . Stewards agree that Tiago's attack was a very late lunge and the evading action from Jazz was probably nessecary to avoid contact but we cant blame a driver for taking an oppurtunity when it occurs .

1.9 LUKAS / METTERS
L34,T1 Paul ( a lap down) outbrakes himself for T1 and collides with Vlastimil , Vlastimil recovers before Paul

1.10 LUKAS / POKORA
L46,T6-10 Vlastimil is about to lap Fred on approach to T6 , Vlastimil is close between T5 and 6 and can overtake him when they are on the straight to T11 . Stewards agree that Fred didn't let Vlastimil pass before the 3rd oppurtunity . Rule : 9.3. If the backmarker has not let the faster car pass by the 3rd opportunity to do so he will receive a penalty.

1.11 STENEKER / BERNARDINI
L48,T11 Henk can get his car alongside Alessio on approach to T 10 , Alessio then clearly changes his line to the outside and forces Henk off track , Henk can recover from the contact but this is the perfect example of dirty defending and this is not something we want to see Alessio

1.12 CAMOLETTO / BERNARDINI
L27,T8. Alessio (a lap down) attacks Jak into T8 and unlaps himself. Alessio has substantial overlap at corner turn in point and executes the overtake within the rules of the blue flag (9.4).

1.13 BINNERSLEY / CHIAPPE
L18 ,T11 Giacomo turns in on Ric on the entry for T11 , Rics car is unbalanced and he needs to make corrections to stay on track and ends up losing several positions . Giacomo gains the position unfair and doesnt returned it within a lap
DECISION - +20 secs added to total race time CHIAPPE ( 3) (position gained unfair )

1.14 BINNERSLEY / BERNARDINI
L21 ,T8 Alessio has a better exit on T7 and this gives the chance for Alessio to get enough overlap for the entry of T8 , there is small contact but stewards agree that this was a fair overtake

L15,T15 Nemanja divebombs Max and hits him on T15 resulting Max in the grass , Max recovers before Nemanja
DECISION - WARNING MANOJLOVIC (1)

1.2 HAAS / MANOJLOVIC / PEREIRA
L23,T2 On T2 Nemanja hits Max when he exits the pits causing both drivers to spin and Max also crashing into Dino , Max didnt cross the line on pitexit so stewards agree that Nemanja should kept a tighter line on the apex of T2 to avoid the contact , Nemanja recovers before Max but gives the position back within a lap . The contact between Max and Dino was unfortunate but as Max was a passenger of his own car no blame here

1.3 HAAS / MANOJLOVIC
L31,T3 Nemanja attacks Max without substantial overlap on T3 , Nemanjas car is unbalanced under braking and collides with Max on turn-in , both cars are a bit out of shape but they can continue without much harm .

1.4 BINNERSLEY / CHIAPPE / ARMIENTO
L26 ,T5 Antonio and Ric are battling for position on the run to T4 , Antonio defends his position to Ric and both drivers swerve to the outside of the track , this gives the oppurtunity for Giacomo to go on the inside of both and taking the positions . Stewards agree that it was a risky move by Giacomo but as he gained enough overlap we see this overtake as fair . On approach to T5 Ric has a better exit than Giacomo and both drivers are battling for the the ideal racing line to T5 , Giacomo is already entitled to T5 and Ric hits Giacomo and Ric spins . L11,T15 Greg defends his position on T15 and this invites Giacomo to attack Greg around the outside of the corner , Giacomo turns in and collides with Greg causing him into a mini-slide , when they enter mid-corner theres another contact and this time Greg ends up in a big slide and losing several positions . Defending on T15 is always tricky because it can easally invite contacts , however the contact is on Giacomo and he should have left more room for Greg . Giacomo gains the position unfair and doesnt return it within a lap

L3,T12 Antonio attacks Max without overlap on T12 and dives on the inside , they collide and Antonio can get his car in front of Max . Max can regain the position on the next corner but Antonio keeps making contacts and is to agressive in his attempts to overtake Max . We cant penelise Antonio for an unfair overtake because he didnt gain a position on this incident but this is not what we want to see Antonio # rule you must establish substantial overlap with the car ahead before a corner's turn-in point to have the right for room to be left for you by the ahead driver. Substantial overlap means at least that the front of your car is up to the driver's position in the ahead car. The ahead driver has ever right to fully commit to the racing line of his choice without any interference if there was no overlap at corner turn in.

Without the contact thats caused by Callum this would probably be a fair overtake , but due to the contact stewards agree that David had no chance to defend his position , Callum gained the position unfair and doesnt wait for David to recover (last lap but no signs of waiting and enough oppurtunity to give the position back)

L34,T19 Dino is to late on the brakes for the busstop and hits Petr resulting him to slide into the barriers and having severe damage , Petr soon dives in the pits what gave Dino no chance to give the position back . As Dino showed sportmanship and waited on S/F straight for Petr to recover we wont be hard on him but we will advise Dino when returning a position not to do it on potentially dangerous places (middle of the track then on the exit kerb)

Vlastimil leads the pack and carries to much speed on the formation lap , this caused big gaps in the rolling start procedure

0.2 KOUCOUREK / HUGHES
David is in the same line as Martin in the acceleration zone and overtakes him before the S/F line , David also gains an advantages towards other driver and can easally pick some spots this way . There are some positions changes between David and Martin on L1 but there was no intention from David to give the position back and therefore we see this an unfair overtake . #rule 6. From the moment everyone starts to accelerate, drivers may break from their train if they have a good run on the driver ahead. Bear in mind that you still can not overtake the driver directly in front of you in your train until you have crossed over the start/finish line.

Martin attempts an overtake around the outside on T12 ,there is side by side contact and Martin goes of track , a risky move by Martin and Grant is not to blame. After the contact Martin rejoins the track on the racingline and luckally Morgan saw the danger and was cautious enough so further incidents were avoided . This rejoin was to sudden and should be done with more care. This is stated as unsafe rejoin with little/no consequence

Tiago is not cautious enough and carries to much speed when drivers in front of him slowing down to avoid an incident on T12 . No real consequence here but this could easally ended much worse

L35,T14 Vlastimil has a better exit on T13 and wants to attack Ric and get alongside him on approach to T14, Ric oversees this and suddenly changes his line and blocks Vlastimil in his attempt . Drivers are allowed to change their line once when defending but this move was not within the rules and is stated as blocking. rule: Drivers are allowed to change their line once per straight in order to defend as long as they are outside of a braking zone. This change has to be done BEFORE the car behind started their overtaking attempt

Unfortunate for Callum and Stefano but stewards agree that its not clear here who is to blame so

L15,T7 David recovers after an incident and rejoins the track into the path of Stefano causing him of track and crashing to the outside walls , by the rules unsafe rejoin with consequence . Advise : never rejoin vertical on the track David , always try to rejoin in the direction of the racingline

We also want to point out the importance of rejoining the track and overtaking under blue flag . We monitored it for this race and its our opinion that this can be done better on some occasions . We all need to be aware of the rules on these actions on track because this can easally ruin someones race or cause annoyance . thx :)

Pavel is to slow on single file formation, fails to go in formation at the start of S3 and in the acceleration zone maintains a speed of 60 kph wich should be 80 kph . Stewards are pretty dissapointed on this rolling start Pavel , the procedure is explained on the forum and in the briefing . We don't have a specific rule what suits this incident but we will implement an approriate one in the near future so for now we will stick with this decision

Nemanja reacts quicker than Andre in the acceleration zone and can get his car alongside when the leader takes of on the start of the race . Nemanja isnt allowed to overtake the car in front before the S/F line .
