The difference in the 2 game engines, although subtle, has led to a substantial update being released which goes some way to addressing known bugs and provides optimisation of graphics, physics, audio & AI. As an added bonus, Reiza is expecting to release the 1988 & 2001 layouts of Imola which will be free of charge to anyone who bought the track or purchased any pack that included Imola.

In 2007, a controversial reprofiling of T1 was made to aid overtaking at the German track that ultimately left fans and drivers disgruntled as the 90-degree turn at the end of the start/finish straight became an accident hotspot and was often the scene of 1st corner pile-ups. With this update comes the addition of the Motorcycle A Course; B Course; Motorcycle B Course to the already in-game A Course. Also included in this patch is an update to the Dedicated Server Tool which can now be configured to add car and/or user weight ballast.
