This tranquil scene of the rolling hills at the gateway to the Sonoma Wine Country will soon crumble as drivers & machines of S24 descend on the 4.1km circuit in California. The raceway provides one of the toughest tests of the calendar with twists, turn and a 160ft elevation change making up this rollercoaster of a track. But when the lights go out you'll find no inline cars, no procession and no predictably - just a full grid screaming to go faster. So buckle-up, and get ready for WTCC Rd 4.
Rd 4 of the FR2 series will take place at Moscow Raceway - the Hermann Tilke designed circuit completed in 2012. Jim Britton will be looking to continue his good form by taking his 3rd win on the bounce after wins at Monza & Shanghai, but the likes of Arella, Manojolovic & Kederer will be determined to bolster their championships bids here. This technical circuit will prove a tremendous challenge to those not fully prepared for the event.
Monza produced the 4th & 5th race winners of S24 WTCC as Nikos Papamichail and John Patterson claimed their 1st victories at RRLeagues! Both led from flag to flag to reaffirm this series as being wide open.
In S21 GTR3, Robert Horvath continued his domination in the Merc AMG. The Hungarian taking a comfortable victory in the 95 mins of Spa. Be sure to check the replay of this race featuring in-depth commentary from Miguel!
Since landing the unprecedented triple crown back in Almighty Autumn '17 it's fair to say, Jim Britton has struggled to recapture the form that made him driver champion of GTR3, FR-X & DTM 2016 all in one glorious season. You could have been excused for thinking that the 44-year-old Brit, having left his mark at RRL, had lost the desire to challenge for further honours.
But, like a creature in aestivation, Britton has awoke after a long hot spell to deliver 6, top 10 finishes on the bounce that has seen the Brit catapult to the top of the recent form rankings - a run that includes back to back wins in the FR2 series.
Are we witnessing the 'fall' guy embarking on his journey to take his 4th RRL Driver Champion accolade? The signs for his competitors look bleak.
