Also I feel like it's worth explaining the uber-complicated start proceedure for this champ...

The red lights come on and then they turn off and we all mash the throttle and barrel into turn 1 trying not to take each other out... Job's a goodun :p

I wonder if there is any handling/performance difference between the 2015 and 2016 versions of the TT?

I think this is over complicated and should be simplified. Some of us old gits get confused er that's the pedal on the left right?

The way you drive it really doesn't matter... Just if by some miracle you're not last make sure you're not in reverse

Yesterday I did some practice runs and realized that at the start of an amateur race I didn't really had to use the clutch to start.
I mean I've clutched out, put it into 1st, held the clutch and released the clutch only after the reds turned off - this is the ususal way.
But then I did another try, where I already released the clutch before the reds turned off, the car stayed put, but then automatically launched itself after the reds went off.
What should I expect in the multiplayer race?

In multiplayer races, the car won't move until the lights change no matter what you do with the gears and clutch

In case people don't know as they are new for this batch of championships, the best launch is to add throttle, shift to first, hold throttle in a specific range (slightly differentt for each car) and then nail it as the lights go out/car starts to move. There's no need to use clutch although that can get you a bit of a better start. You CAN mash the throttle from the time you hit the grid 'til lights out and sit in 1st and nothing will happen 'til those lights extinguish

@aSab I know Jim explained above but hope that helps you optimise your starts :)

Well Jim figured out that he could use CrewChief to cheat the starts using a macro soooooo, it's kinda an anti-cheat system

Hope I am not asking a stupid question, but if anyone can...it's me. Where or how do I find the server password for the race tonight?? E-mail coming following race registration or here at this site?? Looking forward to "seeing" all of you again this season...and a belated Happy New Year to all.
