I wish him all the best and a quick recovery. It would have been great to race him tonight.

Hello mates,

here's my quick wrapup:

Looking at the championship before Zolder I knew that I still had the mathematical chance to grab the title - it was a slim one, since it rarely happens that you win a championship without having won any races :D, that was clear from the beginning on. As I realized that the field will be populated by the fast Spanish racers too I knew this will be a hard nut to crack, but I wanted to arrive well prepared not to blame myself later on.

Q: 3.
Well I practiced this track a lot but didn't quite feel as comfortable as I wanted to when raceday came. Nevertheless this qualy wasn't that bad. To me it's still too short but that's my taste.

R1: 2.
After a nice start I advanced to 2nd place and I was to hold my position against Raimund's attacks, which went well - we both made some smaller mistakes but I prevailed in the end.

R2: 5
Because of the reverse grid I started in 7th and then advanced to 3rd. At that time fatigue was getting me and I began to make mistakes; also the lack of proper race routine caused me to forget how to defend and make my car as wide as possible, so Raimund got past me and then Max too. P5 in the end, mathematically I gained two positions but I didn't quite felt it that way...

So this was my first ever online racing championship season and I had both fun and stress - and it was rewarding. I feel that I became a lot better than I was in January and I feel that I'll be able to get better later on - I know my own recurring faults and weak points so I'll work on those.
We've had some nice fights for positions and I really owe thanks to everyone who kept on racing in the series right till the end.

Congrats to Christian for winning the title! Kudos go out to the Stewards and RRLeagues in general for organizing and doing this series!

See you in the Summer 2018 series,

Sab

Hmm, interesting fact: according to rules the worst round's points will be omitted from the totals of everyone. So in effect I have 141 points and Christian has 140 points. So now what?

Points may change yet depending on the stewards report so let's get that done and dusted and then we'll announce official winners.
