In this thread the Stewarding Decisions will be announced, all rulings are final.

Foreword

As Rule E1 states;

'Sportsmanship is a cornerstone of racing at RRLeagues and this is expected to be upheld by all participating drivers. If you pass someone unfairly or collide with them, it is expected that you return the position at the earliest but safest opportunity.'

If you show sportsmanship towards other drivers then any penalties you may receive will be lessened because of this.

RRLeagues Licence

Any penalty points you receive for incidents from the stewards will be added to your RRLeagues Licence. All about RRLeagues Licence here. The maximum permitted penalty points for this series is 9.

Possible Penalties

The following is a guideline for what penalties to expect for certain infringements of the rules however, the stewards interpretation of the rules is final.

1. Verbal Warning | 0 Penalty Points
  • Exceeding Pit Speed Limit during Qualification session (1st instance)
  • Posting in-game text chat during Qualification / Race sessions (1st instance)
2. 1 x Official Warning | 1 Penalty Point
  • Exceeding Pit Speed Limit during Qualification session (subsequent instances)
  • Posting in-game text chat during Qualification / Race sessions (subsequent instances)
  • Dangerous driving on Lap 1 causing consequence to another driver
  • Causing a collision with no/little consequence
  • Hitting a stationary/very slow moving car off the grid.
  • Unsafe rejoin with no/little consequence
  • Attempting to correct on track with cars approaching with no/little consequence
3. +5 secs added to total race time
  • This penalty will usually accompany the 1 x Official Warning penalty.
  • Blocking/squeezing/pushing a driver off-track/unfair defending that causes the innocent driver to lose significant time
4. +20 secs added to total race time | 3 Penalty Points
  • Causing a collision and not returning/conceding position(s) within 1 lap
  • Failure to return a position when clearly at fault
  • Unsafe rejoin with consequence
  • Attempting to correct when on track and cars approaching with consequence
5. No Qualification Penalty (driver must remain in his pit box during the qualifying session)
  • Collecting 3 warnings within a series
  • Receiving a +20 secs time penalty but the driver recorded a DNF
6. +40 secs added to total race time | 4 Penalty Points
  • Causing a collision with multiple consequences and not returning/conceding position(s) within 1 lap
  • Unsafe rejoin with multiple consequences
  • Attempting to correct when on track and cars approaching with multiple consequences
7. Drive Through Penalty (driver must drive through the pit lane within the opening 3 laps of race)
  • Receiving a +20 secs time penalty but the driver recorded a DNF in both races of an event (only applies when a round comprises of 2 race sessions)
  • Receiving a +40 secs time penalty but the driver recorded a DNF
8. Disqualification
  • Failure to comply with steward imposed No Qualification/Drive Through penalty requirements. 2 instances will result in a ban from the series
9. Race Suspension
  • Multiple Lap 1 incidents
  • Disrespect of RRLeagues rules
  • Exceeding maximum amount of allowable points on licence

Please respect the stewards' decisions, these guys take their own spare time to review incidents to make this league a fair place to race! Stewards decisions should never be discussed in a public thread. PM a steward if you need to discuss a decision.

1.1 LUKAS / HALAVAZIS
T3 Manos is too late on the brakes and hits Vlastimil , Manos takes the position and doesn't give it back within a lap or waits for Vlastimil to recover.

1.2 BARROWCLOUGH / PEREIRA / JONES
T3 Jody lifts a bit before T3 as Dimitrios got ahead of him. Dino was not aware and hits Jody from the rear. Dino also loses speed so Grant hits him from behind, which causes Dino hit Jody again. Jody went onto the grass and lost several positions. The separate hits were not big, this was a chain reaction with unfortunately big consequences to Jody, but both Dino and Grant could have been more careful there.
DECISION:

1.3 MORGAN / FORSBERG
T3 this is a follow up from 1.1 and 1.2. Callum is late on brake and hits Jazz. Jazz can save the slide and recover ahead of Callum.
DECISION - WARNING MORGAN (1) Causing a collision with no/little consequence

1.4 KOVACS / BINNERSLEY
also a follow up of 1.1. Pat changes his line a bit, moving to the centre of the track (possibly avoiding the cars off-track beside him), but still has enough space on his right side. Ric is moving towards the inside line with no apparent reason. Ric came out worse of the incident which was more on him.
DECISION - RACING INCIDENT

1.5 HINDLE
T7 Peter clips the grass at T7, loses control and spins, causing multiple contacts behind him. He rebounded from the inside wall onto the ideal line. After the mistake, Peter didn't look like he was braking to avoid unpredictable movement of his car, but in our opinion he couldn't do better with the rejoin. The contacts behind him were mostly unavoidable because of the tight pack, however, Denis was quite far away, had enough time to react, but he was not aware, hitting both Callum and Peter.

1.6 MORGAN / CENCIG
T8 Callum nudges Denis and waits for him to recover so warning.

note: please when waiting for a driver to rejoin, don't stop on the middle of the track. in this case, it was not a real problem as there was no oncoming traffic.

L10, T8 Bailey tries to go on the inside of Jazz and hits him. Bailey waits for Jazz to recover

1.8 FORSBERG / THOMPSON
L19 ,T3 Bailey attack Jazz but has not enough overlap on corner turn-in point and hits Jazz , both off track but Jazz recovers before Bailey
DECISION - WARNING THOMPSON (1) Causing a collision with no/little consequence

1.9 SANTIAGO / THOMPSON
L2,T13 Miguel attacking Bailey afher a slight mistake of him. Bailey turns in late, Miguel hits him from the outside as he started to turn-in. Bailey spins, Miguel doesn't wait for him.
DECISION + 20 SECS SANTIAGO CAROU (3) causing a collision and not returning position

1.10 FORSBERG / THOMPSON
L19,T8 Bailey attacks Jazz from outside of T8, he taps him at the turn-in point and goes wide, into the gravel trap. Jazz had no real consequence of this incident.
DECISION - NO FURTHER ACTION
note: normally it would have been a 3rd "warning" for Bailey, but since he's a newcomer, we decided not to give. but we'd like to ask Bailey to take less unnecessary risks at overtaking attempts. catching one car is just one thing, you can't behave he's not there. next time this will be a "warning".

1.11 SANTIAGO / VD DRIFT
L31, T1-4
rule 9.3. If the backmarker has not let the faster car pass by the 3rd opportunity to do so he will receive a penalty.
Miguel can overtake Timo under blue flag on the 3rd oppurtunity wich is within the rules but its not because Timo lifts ,its just because Miguel is faster. Timo had plenty of oppurtunity on S/F straight to let Miguel pass
DECISION: - WARNING VDDRIFT (1) ingoring blue flags

1.12 VDDRIFT/CAMOLETTO/TVERAEN/BADCOCK
L31, T7
following 1.11. After letting by Miguel, Timo slotted behind him and held everyone up behind, even forcing Daniel onto the grass. He let Daniel through at T8, then instead of moving over, he slotted in the train again, which forced Christoper lift at the corner exit. Jak was close and didn't expect this, he hit Christopher who spun. Jak was waiting for Christopher to recover. while trying to rejoin, Christopher hits Denis.
DECISION: - WARNING VDDRIFT (1) ingoring blue flags
DECISION: - +20sec TVERAEN (3) unsafe rejoin with consequence
note: next time, if you're a backmarker, you're alone and there are more cars fighting with each other approaching you, do not split them, try to let the whole pack past as soon as possible. Timo could have done much better here.


1.13 CENCIG/LEVERER
L37, T15
Max closed on Denis in the final sector of the final lap. Denis was one lap behind. Denis took a wide line into the main straight. Max hit him from behind, making Denis spin. Max didn't wait for Denis to recover. being the last lap, last corner and noone was in a position fight, we feel it's a bit of unnecessary risk from Max' side.
DECISION: - +20secs to total race time LEVERER (3) causing a collision and not returning position

1.14 SIMEONIDIS/HALAVAZIS
L6, T12
Manos attacks Dimitrios from the outside towards T12. they are side by side but Manos seems to lift a bit towards the braking zone, which allows Dimitrios moving back to the racing line, but he brakes earlier, changing his line and doesn't leave enough room for Manos on the outside. Manos hits Dimitrios, who almost spins. Manos behaving fair and waits for Dimitrios to recover ahead of him
DECISION: - WARNING SIMEONIDIS (1) causing a collision with little/no consequence

Miguel reversing as FL starts. Since it's ghosting, not a real problem, but drivers need to avoid risky moves

1.3 KRISTOW / ABELOVSZKY / HALAVAZIS / BADCOCK / FILLINGHAM
MAIN STRAIGHT After green flag, Daniel K. aquaplans on the left side puddle, spins into Peter. Manos, Simon, Daniel B. are caught out by them. unfortunate chain reaction with half of the field involved.
DECISION - NO FURTHER ACTION. The puddles were mentioned in the briefing, but, the whole left file of the grid had the risk to take them, we can't blame Daniel here, considering the circumstances. A very unfortunate chain reaction for the most of the field.

1.4 POJSL
MAIN STRAIGHT Petr is taken out by the same puddle, spins, was potentially dangerous but the bigger incident happened already right behind him.
DECISION - NO FURTHER ACTION

1.5 MATOS / ALBERTINI / MORGAN
MAIN STRAIGHT Tiago goes into the middle of two files and pushes hard, gaining lots of positions. While arriving towards the braking zone, he doesn't expect people braking earlier, and hits Szabolcs and Callum ahead who's lifting because of the spinning Petr. He doesn't wait for his victims
DECISION - +20s MATOS (3)
Note: Tiago and Ric, we feel they took a bit too big risk at the start. Ric's move was brave and got the most out the situation, but the potential of having an incident like Tiago had was there. We don't apply any warning on him, just a note that in 1st lap it felt a bit too risky.

1.6 STOFMEEL / BARROWCLOUGH / CAMOLETTO
T2 Mike spins at T2 on his own by the look of it, David beside him was not involved in it. Jody and Jak can't avoid his car and hit him, losing some positions
DECISION - NO FURTHER ACTION

1.7 HORVATH / LUKAS
T1 Robert slides off the apex slightly at T1. Minor side by side tap at entry of T1, no harm done, Vlasti stays ahead
DECISION - NO FURTHER ACTION

1.7 HORVATH / JONES
T2 Out of T2, Robert sees the rejoining Bentley of Jak and wants to avoid him. He gave a full car wide space, however, Jak was careful and didn't rejoin full track at that moment. Grant doesn't expect the Lambo moving to the left that much and hits Robert who spins. Grant doesn't wait for Robert
DECISION - RACING INCIDENT There was a little more space on the left but again, poor visibility. The limits of the track and the reason of Robert's avoiding move was hard to see by Grant.

1.8 METCALF / CAMOLETTO / PEREIRA
T3 Greg goes for the gap between Grand and Jak (who is still slower after his rejoining) but the gap is disappearing before Greg could be into the middle of them. he hits Dino besides him and Jak from behind aswell. This leads to some contacts between Grant and Jak, but without big consequences. Dino is spinning out, Greg doesn't wait for him.
DECISION - +20s METCALF (3)

1.9 HORVATH / PEREIRA / FORSBERG
T3 following 1.7, Robert is rejoining on the track after his incident. just as he do this, the spinning car of Dino (1.8) is spinning right into his path. Robert brakes and tries to avoid him. Jazz arrives with full speed and hits Robert who spins again and stopped against incoming traffic. Jazz doesn't wait for him.
DECISION - RACING INCIDENT Jazz couldn't be really blamed here as he couldn't see the reason of Robert's move.

1.10 ABELOVSZKY / CENCIG
T4 Denis nudges Peter in the braking zone for T4. They both cut the chicane, Peter can rejoin ahead of Denis
DECISION - WARNING CENCIG (1)

1.11 KOCOUREK / HORVATH
T10 After a slide, David returns to the track from the left side, he goes across the track. Robert is in the middle of the track, tries to move to the right but David (after Kristow passed him) still keeps moving right. Robert hits David from the rearand both get heavy damage. Positions unchanged, both drivers pitted at the end of the lap
DECISION - WARNING KOCOUREK (1) for unsafe rejoin. Robert could do better here aswell, but from the onboard view, David's car wasn't totally uncontrollable and could have been more careful when rejoining the track.

1.12 POJSL / ALBERTINI
T11 Petr spins on his own at the exit of Parabolica. Szabolcs is in a fight with Daniel, but he's careful, slowing down a lot and lets David past. But the avoiding maneuver is not precise enough, he touches the front of Petr and spins.
DECISION - NO FURTHER ACTION Petr stayed still, Szabolcs was careful enough, it was an unfortunate incident

L34, T11
Martin goes slightly wide into Parabolica. Daniel goes for the gap on the inside (for position), Martin also tightening his line at the same time. Daniel hits Martin, both drivers spin. Martin rejoins ahead of Daniel.
DECISION - RACING INCIDENT Daniel had enough overlap, he had right to the corner. Martin probably was oversteering out of that corner

1.14 HUGHES / MATOS
L40, between T10-11
out of Ascari, Tiago gets slipstream and tries to unlap himself. Martin is in the middle, Tiago goes to the right side (with a very late move) but caught out by the big puddle on the right side of the track and spins into Martin. Tiago goes into the pits, waiting for Martin by the look of it but retiring in the end. Martin retires one lap later aswell.

1.2 MATOS / POJSL / BUTLER
T1
out of T1, Petr and James exiting side but side but with some gap. Tiago behind them has a better exit and goes for the gap. the 2 cars aside him are closing this gap in this moment, but Tiago with some paint-trading forces himself through. Petr and James both sliding a bit but all cars can continue unharmed.
DECISION - NO FURTHER ACTION.

1.3 HALAVAZIS / HUGHES
T2
Manos spins towards T2 during accelerating. after a 360° he's rejoining to the track almost standing. Martin in the spray can't see anything and hits Manos hard. this creates a mass accident together with 1.4.
DECISION - NO FURTHER ACTION

1.4 MANOJLOVIC / SMEDEGARD
T2
Magnus and Nemanja are exiting side by side out of T1. Nemanja on the left side moves to the right a lot with no apparent reason but following Peter. meanwhile Magnus on the right moves slightly to the left, probably trying to avoid Manos' spinning car. Nemanja hits Magnus who spins. this, together with 1.3 creates a mass accident in the second half of the field. Jazz is careful and slows down a lot but the other guys behind him don't/can't follow him and there are multiple collisions. Nemanja continues unharmed.
DECISION - +20s MANOJLOVIC for causing a collision and not returning position. by rules it would be a +40s but we considered the circumstances (really bad visibility) too.

1.5 JONES / ANDERSEN
T2
after his incident 1.4, Grant tries to rejoin to the track from the grass on the inside of T2. Andersen is already up to speed after his rejoin and turns in on the racing line. Grant can see the Aston but he hits Andersen who spins into the wall. Grant continues ahead of Andersen, both drivers pitting for repair at the end of the lap.
DECISION - +20s JONES for unsafe rejoin

1.6 HALAVAZIS / KOCOUREK
T3
rejoining from his incident 1.3, Manos clips the kerb on the exit of T2. He spins into David who also spins. David can continue ahead of Manos
DECISION - WARNING HALAVAZIS

1.7 HUGHES / CAMOLETTO
T12
Martin is following Jak out of T11. Jak's car is badly damaged and brakes early into T12. this probably confuses Martin who brakes late. Jak needs to take avoiding action as Martin flies wide. Both drivers can continue without further damage.

Race 1 Lap 1

1.1 BINNERSLEY / HALAVAZIS
Ric is ahead and holding position in the centre of track down Kemmel. Approaching T7, Ric brakes and drifts towards the outside into the path that Manos is on. Manos does not have overlap but Ric brakes cautiously early and causes a scare for Manos. Manos can avoid by dipping a wheel on the grass and manages to continue with little consequence.

Dan is sliding a bit wide, while Peter rejoins from 1.1 right behind him. Dan loses a little momentum by going wide, Peter slightly hits him from behind and gains the position

Dan is on the right side after 1.2, while Jazz and Martin side-by-side behind him. Jazz goes for the gap in the middle, but at the same time Dan (who is a bit slower) moves to the right. they touch, and Jazz hits Martin then, both spin. Martin rolls into the path of David and Petr. Dan continues, Jazz also continues ahead of Martin.
DECISION: RACING INCIDENT as both Dan and Jazz could have been more careful here. please show more awareness next time, also there is the radar app to help you when someone is close to you. (note: Martin probably could have done better here, braking immediately after spin and not rolling into the path of oncoming traffic)

Race lap 1

1.1 ARELLA / DHOORE
There is contact between the 2 drivers between T2 & T3, resulting in David being pushed onto the verge from which he can soon recover, albeit losing a few positions. Ralf leaves room for David on his inside through T2 and then makes a slight deviation to his line to get a better angle into T3 - this would be the natural racing line. David, after exiting T2, keeps his car on a straighter line on the approach to T3 and as Ralf deviated from his line, there in contact. The stewards rule that Ralf's line was predictable and expected. We do not believe David did anything particularly wrong either, it was just an unfortunate racing incident.
DECISION: NO FURTHER ACTION

1.2 LUKAS / MANOJLOVIC
On the exit of T2, Vlastimil possibly applies too much gas which slides his car into Nemanja who is alongside. The contact puts Nemanja into the barriers whilst Vlasti can continue without consequence and doesn't show sportsmanship in waiting for Nemanja.
DECISION: +20s added to total Race time, LUKAS (3) (causing a collision and not returning/conceding position(s) within 1 lap)

1.3 POJSL / WOOD
There is contact between the 2 drivers at the exit of T3, causing Petr to slide into barriers. Nigel waits for Petr to recover. Into T3, Petr has the inside line with Nigel on a wider entry. Past the apex. Petr runs wide and although he may have a slight advantage over Nigel, he runs right into Nigel's path for which Nigel can do little about.
DECISION: NO FURTHER ACTION

1.4 FILLINGHAM / FORSBERG (L3, T2)
Jazz closes on Si into T2 and under braking clips the rear of Si through apex. Si spins, Jazz waits to return the position.
DECISION: WARNING FORSBERG (1) (causing a collision)

1.5 FORSBERG / HUGHES (L7, T2)
Martin runs deep into T2 as Si attacks on the inside. Martin cuts back and makes contact with Jazz who is a few car lengths behind Si. There is no desperation in Jazz's move to make an overtake attempt on Martin, he is simply driving on the racing line. Martin's cut back takes him onto the racing line that Jazz is on and there is contact which spins Martin, whilst Jazz can continue with little consequence. Stewards can see no fault from Jazz whilst Martins's only fault is that he should have perhaps stayed wider when cutting back as by going deep into the corner he had lost time that would prove crucial.
DECISION: NO FURTHER ACTION

1.6 FORSBERG / KRISTOW (L38, T15)
Daniel runs wide through the sand at T15 exit giving Jazz the opportunity to attack on the outside into T16. Upon rejoin, Daniel drives across track and squeezes Jazz in the braking zone, unstabling Jazz and forcing him to back out of the move.
DECISION: WARNING KRISTOW (1) (unsafe rejoin with no/little consequence)

1.7 FORSBERG / BUTLER (L64, T8)
Jazz is behind James (backmarker) on the approach to T8. James brakes early for T8 with Jazz right behind giving Jazz a fright. Jazz manages to avoid, but this was dangerous from James. If Jazz was showing to the inside, then fine, but braking early with a car immediately behind is a bad idea. Drivers shouldn't be spooked by the frantic waving of blue flags in ACC and are reminded they have 3 realistic opportunities to let the fast guy through before being found at fault by the stewards.
DECISION: WARNING BUTLER (1) (dangerous driving around lapping traffic)

1.8 LUKAS / BINNERSLEY (L23, T7)
Ric doesn't brake hard enough for T7 and hits Vlastimil in the rear resulting him in a spin and off track, Ric shows sportsmanship and waits for Vlastimil to recover

1.9 LUKAS BINNERSLEY (L25, T10)
Ric has a good exit from T9 and is close behind Vlastimil on approach to T10, both drivers take a different line for the corner and when Vlastimil turns to the apex Ric nudges him and Vlastimil spins, Ric didn't have overlap on CTI so, therefore, is responsible for the contact. Ric gains the position unfair and doesn't wait for Vlastimil to recover.
DECISION : +20 SECS added to total race time BINNERSLEY (3) (gaining position unfair )
