In this thread the Stewarding Decisions will be announced, all rulings are final.

Foreword

As Rule E1 states;

'Sportsmanship is a cornerstone of racing at RRLeagues and this is expected to be upheld by all participating drivers. If you pass someone unfairly or collide with them, it is expected that you return the position at the earliest but safest opportunity.'

If you show sportsmanship towards other drivers then any penalties you may receive will be lessened because of this.

RRLeagues Licence

Any penalty points you receive for incidents from the stewards will be added to your RRLeagues Licence. All about RRLeagues Licence here. The maximum permitted penalty points for this series is 9.

Pre-Race Briefing

The following driver(s) were absent from the Pre-Race Briefing at 1945 BST and will receive 1 penalty point on their licence:

Simone Ugolini

Race 1

1.1 MORGAN /E.FERNANDES
Approaching T5 Callum and Elio are side by side, there is contact at the apex, Callum loses momentum and Elio is able to take the position. Callum is a little wide and could have been tighter to the apex, Elio is following the racing line was entitled to hold his position.
DECISION: NO FURTHER ACTION

1.2 ROSSI /VILI
At the entrance to T9 Valentino runs into the back of Nedo which puts him into a slide, Nedo is able to maintain control while Valentino looses momentum.
DECISION: WARNING ROSSI (1) causing a colision.

1.3 VILI /ALBERTINI
Sab has better drive out of T9 and by T11 is able to get on the inside level with Nedo, through the corner Nedo turns in on Sab not leaving him enough space and causes a colision. Nedo maintains his position but Sab looses momentum and falls behind Vanentino.
DECISION: WARNING VILI (1) causing a colision.

1.4 UGOLINI /METCALF /ALBERTINI /ROSSI /MOL /WYATT /DE LEVA /BARKER
This is a series of spins and crashes.
-[1]Firstly, Simone hits the rear of Greg in T13, Greg is able to maintain control while Simone spins mid-corner and comes to a stop in the middle of the track.
-[2]Valentino crashes into Simone who is stopped, but previously Sab hits the rear of Valentino which destabilized Valentino pushing him into Simone.
-[3]Valentino hits Sab on his inside
-[4]Andre brakes to avoid [3] which causes Mike to hit the back of Andre causing them both to spin, Andre is able to recover while Mike comes to a halt.
-[5]Colin brakes to avoid [4] which causes Antonio to go into the back of Colin who is able to keep car control while Antonio spins.

-Simone hits the rear of Greg through T13 which causes multiple incidents behind, Greg is able to maintain control.
DECISION: WARNING UGOLINI (1) causing a collision.

-Valentino is hit by Sab through T13 which causes further collisions. Valentino is spun off the track and Sab is able to continue but immediately after has to enter the pits where Valentino regains the position.
DECISION: WARNING ALBERTINI (1) causing a collision.

-[3], [4] and [5] all unavoidable collisions.
DECISION: NO FURTHER ACTION

1.5 BRITTAIN /HORVATH/ SMEDEGÅRD /MATOS
Initially, Clive goes wide approaching T14 loses control and spins mid-corner, Robert close behind cannot avoid contact which causes Clive to hit Magnus who was evading the initial contact. Tiago cannot avoid a collision with Magnus but is able to continue, as is Rob, Clive waits for Magnus who is beached and has to DNF.
DECISION: WARNING BRITTAIN (1) causing a collision.

Submitted

No submissions for Race 1, well-done guys.

Race 2

2.1 ROSSI
Valentino hits the rear of Andre through T1 causing Valentino to slide into oncoming cars. Rebounds are favourable with little consequence but Valentino caused collisions here that could have led to further incidents.
DECISION: WARNING ROSSI (1) causing a collision

2.2 BINNERSLEY / SHILLING
The 2 drivers are side by side through T2 & T3. Through T3, Mark leaves very little room for Rik on the inside but Rik uses all of his abundant skill to avoid contact whilst keeping within TL. Just a heads up to Mark to stay alert and be spatially aware.
DECISION: NO FURTHER ACTION

2.3 MERAZZI / BARKER
Stefano hits the rear of Colin through T9, causing Stefano to slide. Stefano is then hit by Simone who can continue with little consequence. Although Stefano is caught out by the reduction in speed of Colin as he gives way to a car he was fighting, he should have better anticipated this change of pace on the opening lap.
DECISION: WARNING MERAZZI (1) causing a collision

2.4 DE LEVA / ROSSI
Exact same thing as 2.3. This time, its Antonio on Valentino with no secondary hits.
DECISION: WARNING DE LEVA (1) causing a collision

Submitted

2.5 BRITTON / METCALF
L10, T2. Jim takes a wide line through T1 which moves him alongside and underneath Greg into T2. Through T2, Greg squeezes Jim forcing Jim to get 2 wheels on the grass and fall back behind Greg.
DECISION: WARNING METCALF (1) causing a collision

2.6 KORHONEN / BARKER
L1, T9. Colin hits the rear of Tom through T9 resulting in both drivers getting caught in the sand. Colin can recover before Tom but does slow & waits for Tom.
DECISION: WARNING BARKER (1) causing a collision

2.7 WYATT / SHILLING / HUGHES
L17, T12. Mark reenters the track at the apex of T12 into the path of the oncoming Mike & Martin. Mike can't avoid Mark, Martin can't avoid Mike, resulting in heavy hits for all concerned. Mark retires, Mike & Martin have to pit for repairs.
DECISION: DRIVE THROUGH PENALTY SHILLING (4) unsafe rejoin with multiple consequences
- this would have been a +40s time penalty, but as the driver recorded a DNF it converts to a DT penalty at next round attended

Pre-Race Briefing

The following driver(s) were absent from the Pre-Race Briefing at 1945 BST and will receive 1 penalty point on their licence:

All present :)

Race 1

1.1 MATOS
Tiago completely outbrakes himself into T1, as a result of this he hits Colin, Ric and Sab (who then hits Jan and Nigel) and all are forced wide, Tiago looses positions after the turn exit. Tiago must show more caution at the start of the race.
DECISION: WARNING MATOS (1) causing a collision

1.2 ROSSI
Same as 1.1, a dangerous late braking move into T1 on the opening lap, it is luck alone that there were not more consequences..
DECISION: WARNING ROSSI (1) lack of caution on opening lap

1.3 BRITTAIN /ARELLA
Clive and Ralf are side by side entering T10, there is contact at the apex, Clive takes the position while Ralf loses momentum.
DECISION: NO FURTHER ACTION

Submitted

1.4 KORHONEN /STENEKER
L2.T1. Henk brakes too late for T1 and hits Tom who is forced wide on exit but is able to maintain his position, Joao close behind cannot avoid hitting the rear of Henk. More caution needed in the early stages by Henk.
DECISION: WARNING STENEKER (1) causing a collision

1.5 WOOD / ROSSI
L6, T9. Val's line gets very sporadic through T8 and onto the following straight with Nigel close behind and looking to attack. Seeing this, Nigel gives Vale a wide berth and can avoid any contact but without doing so there most likely would have been an incident.
DECISION: WARNING ROSSI (1) unsafe driving

1.6 WOOD / DE LEVA
L13, T3. The two drivers are side by side approaching T3 with Nigel on the inside. At corner turn-in, Antonio makes a line for the apex and has contact with Nigel who had substantial overlap. Nigel can continue ahead of Antonio. Antonio needs to be aware of cars around him in this situation.
DECISION: WARNING DE LEVA (1) causing a collision

1.7 METCALF / MOOLMAN
L3, T6. Jan is ducking & diving behind Greg looking to attack into T6. At turn-in, Antonio makes light contact with the rear of Greg that has no consequence. Advice to Jan would be to be careful when making these 'racy' moves so to not inadvertently ruin someone's race.
DECISION: NO FURTHER ACTION

Race 2

2.1 HUGHES
Martin outbrakes himself into T1, cuts across the corner and collects Nedo, Colin (who hits Callum) and Jan on the outside, Martin rejoins at the back of the field. Similar to 1.1/1,2, Martin must show more caution in the opening moments of the race.
DECISION: WARNING HUGHES (1) causing a collision

2.2 ROSSI
After starting the race from pit lane, Val only makes it to the next corner before retiring in bizzare fashion which could have been extremely dangerous if cars had been in the vicinity. After PM'ing Val, he explained that he is having continued issues with his connection so the decision has been made that he shouldn't apply as a guest driver until stewards are happy his connection won't leave to further complications.
DECISION: NO FURTHER ACTION

Submitted

2.3 WOOD /FERNANDES
L24.T6 Approaching the corner Marco, the backmarker, appears to be taking an outside line to allow Nigel through, mid-corner Marco changes his line to the inside which causes Nigel to hit the rear of Marco's car, and ends up with Nigel in the gravel unable to continue. We feel both drivers contributed to the incident, Marco showed some inexperience in allowing a car past, but we also feel Nigel could have showed more caution when approaching a slower lapped car.
DECISION: WARNING FERNANDES (1) causing a collision

2.4 HORVATH /CAMOLETTO
L18.T4. A self-submission by Robert. Robert makes a late braking move on Jak down the inside of T4, Robert runs wide and has contact with Jak through the apex, as a result of the contact Jak goes into the gravel and loses a significant amount of time and positions before he is eventually able to get back on track. Robert waits but continues on as Jak is heavily beached in the gravel, Robert also waits for Jak at the end of the race. Because of the relationship between the F4 and the sandtraps, Jak was stuck for quite some time, Robert waited for him and then waited again for Jak at the end of the race to let him by, although Robert did not return the position within a lap the acts of sportsmanship cannot be ignored.
DECISION: WARNING HORVATH (1) causing a collision

2.5 METCALF / VENEIRI
L4, T6. Gianpietro hits the rear of Greg under braking into T6 spinning both cars. Gianpietro can continue whilst Greg retires after ending up in the sand so Gianpietro cannot return position.
DECISION: WARNING VENEIRI (1) causing a collision

Pre-Race Briefing

The following driver(s) were absent from the Pre-Race Briefing at 1945 UK and will receive 1 penalty point on their licence:

Aleksandr Gerrassimtsik

Race 1

1.1 CAMOLETTO / MOOLMAN

Jak is a bit too late on the brakes into T1 and has side by side contact with Jan forcing him wide, more caution is needed here by Jak in the opening corners.
DECISION: WARNING CAMOLETTO (1) causing a collision

1.2 MOOLMAN / E.FERNANDES
In the braking zone for T2 Jan drastically changes his line from the inside to the outside of the track causing a collision with Elio.
DECISION: WARNING MOOLMAN (1) dangerous driving on lap 1 one causing a collision

1.3 MOOLMAN / KORHONEN
Through T3 Jan is side by side with Tom, Jan does not hold his line or give Tom any space, there is contact which forces Tom off the track.
DECISION: +5 SEC PENALTY MOOLMAN (1) added to total race time Race 1, pushing a driver off the track

1.4 MOOLMAN / E.FERNANDES
Jan makes a move down the inside on Elio into the chicane T6 and 7, the overtake is fine but through the exit of T7 Elio is still alongside Jan who cuts across the racing line and causes contact through the exit of the corner.
DECISION: +5 SEC PENALTY MOOLMAN (1) added to total race time Race 1, unfair overtake.

Submitted

1.5 MOL / MOOLMAN
Jan swerves across the track shortly after lights out right onto the line that Andre is driving on. Ande has to lift to avoid rear-ending Jan after his wild move. This is far too reckless a move within 10s of the race start which could easily have had more severe consequences. Jan needs to recognise that everyone is racing their race and it's not all about him. More thought and awareness is required from Jan.
DECISION: WARNING MOOLMAN (1) dangerous driving

1.6 MOL /MATOS (self-submission)
L12 T4. André is far too late on the brakes into T4 and rear ends Tiago who spins and loses several positions. André waits for Tiago to recover, allows him past and rejoins safely.
DECISION: WARNING MOL (1) causing a collision with consequences.

1.7 MOOLMAN
Multiple track limit abuse reported. Although there has been no rule broken here as we rely on the game to police track limits, there is a moral obligation to try and keep 2 wheels in the actual track limits, defined by the white line at the edge of the track and sometimes extended to the outer edge of corner entry/apex/exit kerbs. What we saw from Jan has left us no choice than to believe he was acting in an unsportsmanlike manner by showing no respect for basic track etiquette or his opponents.
DECISION: STEWARDS TO DEAL WITH PRIVATELY

1.8 VENIERI
Track limit abuse. Whilst the game allows us to get away with extending the track far too much, this must be the exception, not the rule. Please try harder to respect track limits.
DECISION: NO FURTHER ACTION

Race 2

2.1 BINNERSLEY / KENENS
Ric is a little hot into T1 and has to take to the grass to avoid contact with Martijn. Martijn is very cautious into T1 and makes a risky move by changing lane from middle to inner. However, we are happy at how this incident played out with Martijn retaining position over Ric. Both drivers please be careful!
DECISION: NO FURTHER ACTION

Submitted

2.2 KORHONEN / ARELLA
Ralf attacks Tom into T1 and can gain some overlap, but not substantial overlap (nose of car level with driver position) at corner turn-in point. There is some contact at apex as Tom turns in but with no real consequence as Tom can retain position. Ralf did not have the right to the inside line so we must give a warning.
DECISION: WARNING ARELLA (1) causing a collision

2.3 HORVATH / MOOLMAN
L21, T12. Jan defends from Robert on the inside on the run to T12. Robert takes the outside line and gets some overlap on Jan. Into the braking zone, Jan closes the door on Rob and squeezes him off track. This also unsettles Jan's car who slides through the corner. Robert gains Jan's position. This could easily have been another +5s for Jan for driving an opponent off track, but as Rob didn't lose significant time and gained the position...
DECISION: WARNING MOOLMAN (1) squeezing an opponent

2.4 BRITTAIN / VILI (self submission)
L5, T5. Clive attacks Nedo into T5 with an optimistic dive on the inside. Clive doesn't have substantial overlap and struggles to keep a tight apex and so takes the position unfairly. Clive returns the position within a lap.
DECISION: WARNING BRITTAIN (1) unfair overtake

2.5 WOOD / DE LEVA
L5, T6. On the approach to T6 chicane, Antonio makes an unnecessary swerve to the inside and back to the racing line. His braking/slowing down for the corner also is a little unpredictable. All of this results in Antonio getting a hit from behind from Nigel. The car ahead of Antonio was too in front for this swerve to be a feign of an overtake whilst Nigel was not close enough for this to be considered a defensive move. It was all a little odd and resulted in an unnecessary collision.
DECISION: WARNING DE LEVA (1) dangerous driving / causing a collision

Hungaroring Summary

Pre-Race Briefing

All present :)

Race 1

1.1 ROSSI
Moments after the start of the race and approaching T1, Valentino drastically changes his line and swerves across the track clipping Mark, then swerves back again. These are not avoidance moves and are erratic and unnecessary. Please hold a more consistent line along the main straight at the start of the race Valentino.
DECISION: WARNING ROSSI (1) dangerous driving on Lap 1

1.2 MATOS /BARKER
Tiago divebombs Colin into T9 causing a collision, Colin is able to catch the slide while Tiago looses some positions. Again like 1.1 more caution has to be shown by Tiago in the opening lap.
DECISION: WARNING MATOS (1) causing a collision

Submitted

1.3 MOOLMAN /MATOS
L2. T8. Tiago has a better run out of T4 than Jan and is able to close in, he then divebombs Jan into T8 causing a collision which results in Jan going off track into the gravel getting stuck, Tiago continues on. A very reckless manoeuvre by Tiago in the opening laps with serious consequences, he did not return the position or attempt to wait.
DECISION: +20 SEC PENALTY MATOS (3) added to total race time Race 1 causing a collision and not returning/conceding position within 1 lap

1.4 DE LEVA /SHILLING
L10. T9. Approaching T9 Mark moves to the right as if to block the inside, this gives Antonio an opportunity to get is nose alongside, Mark then moves to the left and hits Antonio's front wheels which causes Antonio to spin and get beached in the gravel. When defending, you're allowed 1 change of line, if you move back you have to leave a cars width which Mark did not do.
DECISION: +5 SEC PENALTY SHILLING (1) added to total race time Race 2 unfair defending that causes the innocent driver to lose significant time

Race 2

2.1 ROSSI / VILI / SHILLING
Valentino carries too much speed into T1 and is unable to hold the inside line he is on, resulting in him drifting wide and having contact with Nedo who as a result has contact with Mark. Little consequence to Nedo or Mark, but Vale must show more caution into T1's.
DECISION: WARNING ROSSI (1) causing a collision

2.2 STENEKER / MARQUES
There is a small contact from Henk on Simao into T8 which unsettles both cars and both get a 'wobble on'. Although no one is particularly inconvenienced, this is a scary moment for both. Lap 1 contacts that cause other cars to slide will always be pulled up.
DECISION: WARNING STENEKER (1) causing a collision

Submitted

2.3 FILLINGHAM / MARQUES (L3, T12. Self-submission)
Simon brakes too late for T12 and hits Simao, leaving both drivers in the sand. Simon can recover but Simao is struggling for traction so Simon gives Simao a push which enables him to recover. Simon is now beached and eventually decides to quit.
DECISION: WARNING FILLINGHAM (1) causing a collision

2.4 KORHONEN / BINNERSLEY (L21, T11)
Tom has a better exit from T10 and can get well alongside Ric on the run to T11. Through T11, Ric cannot keep the inside line he is entitled too, and which Tom is leaving, and so runs into Tom. There is contact which pushes Tom wide resulting in Ric unfairly retaining the position.
DECISION: +5s added to total Race 2 time, BINNERSLEY (1) unfair defending

2.5 SMEDEGARD / GERASSIMTSIK (L7, T8)
Alek hits the rear of Magnus into T8 which pushes Magnus onto a wide line through T8, enabling Alek to take the position unfairly. Alek does not return the position within a lap.
DECISION: +20s added to total Race 2 time, GERASSIMTSIK (3) failure to return a position when clearly at fault

Pre-Race Briefing

The following driver(s) were absent from the Pre-Race Briefing at 1945 BST and will receive 1 penalty point on their licence:

James Butler

Race 1

1.1 MARQUES /BINNERSLEY /STENEKER /BUTLER

Off the line, Simão and Ric get a better start than Ralf and into T1 they are 3 wide. Simão (middle) & Ric (outside) have contact through corner exit which results in Simão spinning and some secondary collisions. Ric can continue with little consequence. A 3 wide situation in the opening corner is always a risky situation but the stewards have decided that Ric did not leave enough room to accommodate Simão & Ralf. The track limit for T1 exit is on the far edge of the exit kerb and Ric should have looked to drive to this (and beyond if necessary as instructed in the briefing) rather than trying to keep within the white line of the asphalt.
DECISION: WARNING +5 secs added to total time Race 1, BINNERSLEY (1) squeezing a driver which causes the innocent driver to lose significant time

1.2 E.FERNANDES /MORGAN
Approaching T6 Elio misjudges his braking and rear ends Callum, luckily this did not cause Callum to spin but still it was careless from Elio on lap 1 and could have ended much worse.
DECISION: WARNING E.FERNANDES (1) dangerous driving on Lap 1 causing a collision

1.3 KENENS /MATOS
Martijn runs very wide through T14 and looses momentum which allows Tiago to make a move up the inside while holding his line, Martijn seems unaware that Tiago is there and cuts across the racing line which then causes Tiago to slow. More awareness needed from Martijn here.
DECISION: WARNING KENENS (1) dangerous driving on the opening lap causing consequence to another driver

Submitted

1.4 MORGAN /MARQUES

L9. T12/T13. Simão looses momentum through T11 as Callum approaches from behind to lap him, Simão does not yield, through the next few corners their pace is very similar with Simão pulling away by the main straight. Callum eventually gets by at T3 on the next lap with a mistake from Simão . Certainly Simão did not yield at the 1st incidence but he is given 3 opportunities to do so, furthermore there was not enough of a pace difference between the two over the next number of corners to warrant Simão allowing Callum by at that time. Having said that, Simão after you lost momentum that was the time to allow Callum by, please be more careful in the future.
DECISION: NO FUTHER ACTION

Race 2

2.1 T6 Hairpin

A bit of bumping & rubbing but nothing that was reckless or worthy of penalising.

2.2 MARQUES / BUTLER
James is too late on the brakes for T12 and collects Simão, putting Simão into a slide. James takes the position unfairly and fails to return it within a lap.
DECISION: +20s added to total Race 2 time, BUTLER (3) failure to return a position when clearly at fault

Submitted

2.3 WOOD / GERASSIMTSIK (L10, T6)

Aleksandr clips the rear of Nigel through T6 causing Nigel to slide. Aleksandr didn't have substantial overlap at corner turn-in point so, therefore, was not entitled to the inside line. Aleksandr takes the position unfairly and fails to return it within a lap.
DECISION: +20s added to total Race 2 time, GERASSIMTSIK (3) failure to return a position when clearly at fault

2.4 MARQUES / DE LEVA (L2, T6)

Antonio is a little too late on the brakes for T6 and pushes Simao through the corner, causing Simao to slide. Simao can mainly regain control and maintains the position.
DECISION: WARNING DE LEVA (1) causing a collision

2.1 GERASSIMTSIK
Alek is a little sloppy into T3 causing a few minor bumps. Approaching T3, Alek holds a central track position but drifts to the inside. We advise drivers not to change their lines in the opening corners unless you are sure there is no one there. Alek moves in front of Ralf but it is just about ok. Ralf now has Alek immediately in front and has to react into T3 to avoid collision, which he does. Alek slightly overshoots his braking and makes causing with Ric's rear left as Ric turns in. Alek slows as a result, causing Ralf to hit Alek. Alek is pushed across track and has contact with Robert. All 3 contacts were fairly minor but could have been avoided if Alek showed a little more caution into T3.
DECISION: WARNING GERASSIMTSIK (1) dangerous driving, causing a collision
